If anyone can find a loophole in a point system it be a food addict.
cough cough, Amber, cough cough
@@rilmar2137Now we know why she started WW recently. She likes to copy Alexandra. Didn't last long.
Yes very true
I just scrolled down to ask if I was imagining things or if Alexandra seems like she's trying to game the system instead of actually making better choices.
Zero point foods don't exist. What a joke.
I follow the old weight watchers plan that counts everything
Celery
Celery cabbage diet drinks green beans zucchini lettuce maybe some other veggies but that's about it
And it's the higher price plans so you get "calorie free" foods if you pay them more.
Lindsayyyyyyyy hi ❤
You wouldn't even know she had bariatric surgery, based on this day of eating...
She’s had the lap band, chin lipo, tummy tuck AND a gastric bypass surgery!!!!! Plssss her body is shaped like a fridge 😭
I was doing the new WW plan for 3 months because a friend wanted to start it, deadly. I literally was only eating whole foods, many zero point foods. When i started double tracking, i realized i was eating around 500 extra calories a day. Back to counting calories for me. Can't go wrong with calories.
Edit: she said "sweet treat" soooo many times. Gotta change that mindset, gurl.
I don't understand this point system. I was on WW back 100 years ago when I was a teenager of about 15. I weighed 150 lbs then at around 5'3 1/2 (I've since shrunk an inch..lol) and I remember them telling me that for my age and height, I shouldn't weigh any more than 120. I lost about 20 lbs on the program then. This was back when we had actual meetings and weigh-ins. The plan I was on was for youth and I think we could eat about 1800-2000 calories a day. We had substitutions we could do and were only allowed certain amount of foods from each food group daily. I think...hard to remember. As I said, it was 100 years ago. But this point system seems reckless. Calorie tracking seems to be the best indicator.
You're right about the "sweet treat" bit. She eats constantly. Always picking at food, even when she's preparing it and you can take in a lot of extra calories that way. I know, I'm a big offender of doing that. I only eat 2 meals a day and that's always how it's been, but I'll pick during the day and while preparing meals and that's a habit I had to overcome and still struggle with.
I activated the macros and calories count in the App at some point. That works pretty well for me.
@theweyrd i had the macros on, but it never gave me calories. I think a large problem might be that people don't weigh or enter zero point foods...you can easily add calories if you're not weighing and entering.
@cymbelinebritain6799 try adding a third meal or just actual snacks throughout the day. I always thought I didn't need breakfast. Turns out I never ate breakfast as a child because I was too stressed and overstimulated at school to eat, so my body just stopped asking for breakfast. But I have always been constantly snackish. I started eating a high protein breakfast last year and lo and behold, next to zero snacking throughout the day. It's probably because my blood sugar is more stable throughout the day now - so even though I used to get snackish in the afternoon, breakfast helped with that.
It's much easier and more effective to mindfully add something than to restrict when it's about our diet.
What I remember from WW…”If you bite it, write it”. She’s constantly snacking and doing “taste tests”.
All zero calories so it didn't count 🌚
I’m so sick of them saying “taste tests” as if anyone thinks of them as an authority on the quality or taste of food 🙄
I track everything I eat even one or two chips or nuts since I’m a snacker. I’ve noticed that those one or two chips or nuts add up to around 200 calories by the end of the day.
@@Sammy86Lynnit’s so important when you’re learning to be mindful of your intake! I have a tendency to consume more calories than I intend to because I’m a grazer, so for me, weighing and tracking every bite is necessary. People see how thin I am and incorrectly assume I can eat whatever, but the truth is I’m logging it all to keep me aware.
@@herefortheshrimp1469if anything, their taste buds are totally fried from eating garbage. None of the gorls actually know, eat and appreciate good food.
I will say, on the parenting side, I have four children and I have had to use different methods for sleeping, eating, learning, disciplining, etc. Every kid needed something different. I did my best and so far they all still love me and my teenagers are amazing and tell me everything so I feel successful.
I have 3 lovely teens and I totally agree. They are all individuals and need different types of parenting.
@amberinthemist7912 everyone always said, "Just wait until they're teenagers and they hate you." Rude but also, they're 18/16/12/10 and we've never had moments like that. Mutual respect and understanding of each other's needs and desires goes a long way.
Makes sense tbh
Agree 100% i have 3 sons and each one requires a different approach !
I think you are already such a good mom. You research, you keep your baby first and foremost in your mind when it comes to keeping her off social media. I'm sure you are nervous being a first time mom, but it really will come naturally once you see that beautiful little face looking up at you! Thank you for such wonderful content. God bless!
She will definitiv!❤
yes, I think parenting isnt about "skills" i think its about the heart of showing someone how to be a good person, believe in themselves and empowering them. While giving them a life of safety ,love and enrichment. IIona shows all of that just as she is in life. Her partner also seems to be that person. Loving, empowering and security for those they love
she really is doing such a great job so far! she’s going to be an absolutely amazing mother!
Aww thank you guys ❤️🙏
She ain’t gonna lose weight with all those ‘zero point’ foods. Her obsession with food is going to be tough to get over. I mean, I’ve never heard someone use the word “yummy” so much!
Its a denial thing😂 Everyone who talks about how yummy food is, is people who are on a diet and trying to convince themselves that the food is what theu want 😂😂 This is coming from experience and is only a guess of course
Chickpeas being 0 points is insane 💚
I had to do a double take lol. Beans are the reason why you could be a wholefood non processed obese vegan. I still love them thou.
OG ❤️
Notice she wanted to find more beans to eat, too...because they're zero points. 🙄
@@klasketp7234i’d say those would be nuts lol
If she tracked this day's eating in My Fitness Pal, she'd probably pass out from shock.
I'm sure she ate even more yummy snackies behind the scenes. I'd say she went over 3000 kcal altogether but this is still less than her usual intake.
I'm sure she ate even more yummy snackies behind the scenes. I'd say she went over 3000 kcal altogether but this is still less than her usual intake.
The irony is that WW has a calorie count too. You can add it to your app. I did, because my weightloss stalled for a long while and I felt I was ready to count cals without falling into old habits again. It works. You just gotta be more precise and honest..
All the “zero point” items alone, totaled her daily caloric requirement. She is eating more than twice what she should. The only “zero point” item is water.
When i went to clean eating is when a lot of my auto immune issues went away. I dont buy much prepackaged foods anymore. we went to an "ingredient " household" and while yes, its more labor but overall a lot of the issues we were having have been better because of it. all of the changes are what is helping me lose weight, move more and be healthier overall. Mentally, physically and emotionally
Wish I could say the same for my issues. Although my skin became astronomically healthier.
@@e_i_e_i_bro I live in the US. at least where i was shopping the meats were more filler than actual good things meaning they were fed soy, corn and whatnot also had all the shots and whatnot that were interacting on a hormonal level with me. If you have costco and can go at least here at mine they showed me their quality standards of fresh meats. and one local store offers no hormone meats and such. @@e_i_e_i_bro dont know if you can call around to your shops or not but here they will tell you if you ask.
She nails the problem early on if only she could listen to herself; she doesn't want to be restricted in terms of volume i.e she doesn't want to experience the discomfort of hunger when that is quite literally *the* goal.
You aren't going to lose weight without feeling at least a little hungry regularly, it always seems to be that aversion to discomfort that prevents them from making any real progress.
Why are the big girls so afraid of being HUNGRY?? It’s not like they’re starving!! I enjoy not being stuffed!
She doesn't eat vegetables. Of course she is always hungry on these low volume high calorie snacks she eats all day long.
Feeling hungry is not a goal nor is it necessary to be healthy. It is the opposite of healthy. America has this toxic idea about weight loss and dieting being the only goal. Healthy living should be the goal. Then weight loss happens naturally and you dont struggle with hunger. 😂😂😂😂SMH smh smh
@sfletch3042 If you are obese, weight loss should absolutely be the goal as maintaining a healthy weight is a prerequisite for healthy living; a calorie deficit that is necessary to lose weight will induce, if done at a reasonable pace, some degree of managble hunger pangs.
She talks about not wanting to do the work to count calories, but entering food into a calorie tracking app is the same amount of work as entering food into the WW app, except counting calories is more effective than WW 🤦🏻♀️ make it make sense!
WW counts calories too. When I eat a 0 point food it counts the calories. I never eat my weeklies. I guess I use it more to eat healthy because I am a junk food lover.
I’m surprised she hasn’t mentioned that on the WW app, it can track calories so a person can be mindful of them.
Also, they give recommended portions for zero point foods. Her issue is that she doesn’t even measure any of them.
Girl I understand what you mean! Parents that make their kids the foundation of their content is different from adding your child once in a while where they aren’t a foundation to the content. It’s just “here look at my cute baby I worked hard on, okay back to bodybuilding”. It’s all good 💚 I get you.
Lost 28kg as of this morning so close to the end it's torture lol.
Amazing job! 28 kg is a lot. Almost there and then you can enjoy the summer happy at your goal weight. It will be worth it
Then the job really starts, to keep it off .
hell yeah! keep up the good work
💚 WW did not work for me. Im a food addict and i took those "0 points" and "cheat meal points" and found every way i could exploit it to fit more food in. I dont think its a terrible plan if being mindful but they give so many loopholes to eat more that food addicts will find a way to fit more food in inevitably.
You are such a great mom. Yes you're already a mom as you provide your baby with nutrients and a warm place to grow. I can't wait to see you with your little one ❤❤❤
I don’t believe she ate two egg bites. No way. At her size. She had gastric bypass which does make your stomach the size of an egg but she had stretched her bypass. She lies a LOT
And what business is it of yours?
The nice thing is we'll know in a couple months if she's lying or not. If she's lying she won't have lost any weight.
I enjoyed your video! I finally had to admit to myself I have an addiction to food, when u were bringing up the constant food noise, it's so real and I don't want to be a slave to that anymore. 3 weeks into my calorie deficit and I am learning so much discipline and self control it makes me feel more FREE
Wake up folks, her majesty posted ♥️🙌🏼

She is on weight watchers? She just returned from bulk shopping at Cosco. She bought massive bags of cashews, etc..I’m confused.
She went to the doctors after Costco and I reckon that the doctor scared her which is why she is losing weight
People genuinely think that because cashews are good for you, they have 0 calories 😂

😮
Oh really, she will still lose weight on that? Well that's good at least. I have to eat 1000-1200cal to lose weight. Which I am right now, but I am short.
@ No adult needs to eat 1000-1200 calories to lose weight.
@@randomsarcasm2022 I mean if I want to lose a pound a week I do. That's just the math of it. It is what it is. If I was sedentary I could only eat 950cal and lose a pound a week. My poor grandfather had been overweight since his 40s. He's now in his 70s. He had been trying to lose weight for a long time. He got help about it. And he is 6'2 mind u..way taller then me..he finally has lost 150ibs and is off all his meds and now he's back up to maintenance..but he told me it took him eating 1000 calories to do it. Everytime he ate more then 1000cal he just wouldn't lose. Now that is weird. Shocked me. But thats just how it was for him.
For me I track everyrhing, and I eat super nutrient dense foods while I'm in a deficit to make sure I'm hitting all of my nutrient needs despite being in a deficit. I also eat higher protein 100g give or take which helps me stay in a deficit. I only cut for 2 and a half months..then I switch to maintance for 2 or 3 months and go up to 1500-1800ish calories depending on how active i am..and do strength training/muscle building. I was overweight with a almost obese body fat percentage. I am down 16ibs since October, im finally at the top of my good bmi..and my body fat percentage is still overweight 🫠 but alot better.
I've been pregnant 3 times. Never stop telling your truth!! We do everyone a disservice when we try to hide the reality of bringing life into the world.
I agree with you, however the problem these days is that everyone has to be so careful not to offend some group or other!. Someone being truthful about pregnancy and it not being all sunshine and roses is likely to be told they should be grateful that they are pregnant as others have fertility problems!. I'm glad I'm old and had years in the normal world where you didn't have to give bloody trigger warnings before you spoke!.
@dianne9365 i have never seen an infertile woman tone policing a complaining pregnant woman. It has always been men and older moms who want pregnant women to pretend it's risk and pain free ime.
I'm pregnant with my 5th. I'm struggling this time. I'm the same age as Ilona, and I can feel my age playing a role in how I'm feeling. Making life ain't no joke.
You are explaining yourself too much when it comes to parenting.stop it it's your kid your choice
I have rarely seen a 40 year old adult be so absolutely clueless about nutrition. Us fatties usually know more about nutrition and how to eat to lose weight than most people, it's just hard to do it :))) But not Alex, she's been doing this her whole life and she's still clueless.
She knows but doesn't apply it
Alex is only 32. 😐
@@ChikaraTransformations she is not intelligent and her MO is to always look for hacks and snacks and easy ways out of basically everything. She can't put a proper meal together, it's always fat, carbs and processed foods, no vegetables pass through their door. Her husband got fat on her diet, too 😕
The egg bite ingredients prove why we should be making our food at home. After bariatric surgery, she should not be able to eat more than a bite or two of Pasta, thats been my experience. Raw veg, pasta, rice and steak are too difficult for me after my WLS.
Totally! It’s more healthy and cheaper too. I kinda want to some for dinner tonight😂
@snickerdoodle4067 I never realized it until I wore a CGM (continuousglucosemonitor) . It was eye opening to say the least!
Everyone is different. That's why there's only a 5% long-term success rate with bariatric surgery. I have a friend who's had 3 surgeries and still gained most of it back.
My personal opinion is that some people just need therapy or to do the work on their own to get to the root of their food issues, or no diet or surgery will be successful.
Always blows me away to hear how out of breath these girls get just talking. Watched this warming up on the rower and I'm not even slightly winded 😅
It's less breathy at normal speed. But yeah, she has a lot of nasal congestion, it sounds like to me.
She told the app she did "heavy exercise" so it gave her a point total based on that. She is not doing heavy exercise so this might cause her to lose very slowly or not at all unless she changes the app point calculator to light or moderate exercise.
To be fair, moving that body around would be heavy exercise. 😅
Costco has Italian bread (the brand is 647) that is SO affordable. It is 40cal per slice with 8g fiber! I have the bacon and cheese egg bites (250 cal, 17g protein) with 2 slices of toasted bread and butter, plus a cup or two of fruit. Less than 500cal, with 20+g of fiber and 20g of protein. Costco has a LOT of great, healthy, easy options. I also love buying their shrimp cocktail because it's a simple poached shrimp with lemon. Typically it is around 1.5lbs (24oz) and that is like 500 cals and 75g protein. Very low fat. An easy snack!
Costco has such great shrimp! Salmon too! Now I'm craving Costco lime and herb shrimp cocktail that we have here in Vegas. 😂
Comes in the 24 ounce packs like the traditional cocktail and it's marinated perfectly.
I love your snack/meal suggestion.🎉
Thanks……going to look for this bread.
Alex is great at showing how you can overeat and possibly gain while on weight watchers! Great job
I can't speak on her, but when I had a pulmonary embolism (blood clot that went to my lungs for those that don't know), after leaving the hospital I was so freaking spent (I don't wish it on anybody). I was allowed to only move from the bed to the couch and back again for the first 3 months (and this could raise my pulse at 110 if I went faster than really slow) and after that I needed I good 6 months to a year to go up 5 flights of stairs without having to stop midway. All that and I was never her size (I was overweight, still am by 5 kilos). I am slowly getting back in shape, but it is a long process.
I ALWAYS add egg whites to my eggs. I'm a volume eater so always looking to cut calories. I've had friends lose weight on WW but they chose low calorie zero point items most of the time. I think the idea of it stems from the fact most obese people rarely eat anything on the zero point list
Same! I recently started mixing cottage cheese in with my omelette, too, for the extra protein

💚 I did Weight Watchers way back in the late 80s, when I was 12, with my mom. That was back way before the points system they use today. I remember the program back then was either the “Fat & Fiber” plan or the “Quick Success” plan. I did the latter, where you got a set number of “exchange points” each for fruits, veg, protein, bread/starchy veg, fat, and milk. It was loosely based on the American FDA’s diabetes management structure and made more sense than the points they use today. Each selection exchange was equal to a specific number of calories of the corresponding macro or food type. For example, 1 fat exchange was equivalent to 40 calories of fat, 1 bread exchange was equivalent to 60 calories of bread/grains/startchy veg, etc. You also got a number of weekly “floating” exchange points to use (seven, I think). It was basically low fat, lower carb calorie counting without having to actually count calories or macros yourself. If I remember correctly, the only “free” foods were celery and water. The current version of WW makes no sense to me at all and Alex shows us exactly why some people just aren’t successful in losing weight using it.
Wow, thanks for taking the time to explain that! That was interesting and helpful info! Counting calories sounds way simpler tbh. Crazy to think 12 year olds dealing with the present point system and being confused on the results or lack of.
She ate that entire thing of chickpeas as a snack?! That whole can can be incorporated and cooked with vegetables and probably make several servings worth of a meal. I love chickpeas, but I find themt to be heavy. I can't imagine eating all of that as a snack. Insane.
She drinks a good amount of calories. There’s no mention of water intake.
Yes noticed that also
I think Weight Watchers is for people who understand their situation cues and won't binge on "zero point foods" or use their weekly cheat points to the max. It's probably for people who got overweight by eating a lot of fast food, but normal volume of food. Not for those who like or tend to eat huge portions. I find the whole system very convoluted.
100% this. The zero point foods become a way to make overeating and emotional eating “okay” because you’re still staying in your points range for the day. When I was in it about seven years ago, there was so much discussion of zero point snacks and treats with no discussion of things like only eating to your bodies hunger signals or dealing with bored or emotional eating.
I am such a calm, kind, thoughtful, hardworking person who can push through nearly anything. Pregnancy does me in. I'm miserable. Migraines with aura, vomiting all day until third trimester, extreme fatigue, joint pain, cystic acne, hot flashes, crotch lightning, swelling. Ugh, hated it. I feel you. Complain away! 💚
One thing i would like you to tell you based on your previous comments is that not everything in parenting will be in your control because this will be another human being, not mini you. I think you are the person who always strives for perfection and you are extremely hard working, unfortunately sometimes you can do everything and not succed. I remember one time you said that your kid will love exercising and sports because you will be leading them by your example. Its not working like that, unfortunately. You can cook the best tomato soup in the world and your kid can simply not like tomatoes 😉 its still super rewarding experience and I wish you to be comfortable with your motherhood from the start ❤ its auper important to get knowledge and preparation but also be ready to let go
This is so true.
THIS. 100%. I'm from a family of sports + dog lovers and I've been fixated on art and cats since as long as I've been alive. My mom loves tomato soup and it took me until my teen years to like it. My partner and I have strained relationships with our parents because our parents opted for the "strive for perfection to make my kid a mini me rather than learn and engage with my kid's natural interests" style of parenting. Better than having kids who are mistreated and neglected, of course, but not a parenting style that necessarily cultivates strong emotional bonds for adulthood.
When your baby arrives please remember it’s a learning experience and it’s ok to make mistakes and not be perfect as a mom. That’s why they say the 2nd+ kid is an “easier” experience because you know what to do and worry less as opposed to going through everything the first time. ❤
Yes I can imagine the second will be much easier
You overestimated our American gluttony there for a second with the garlic bread 😂 but I don’t blame you.
I don’t think so actually…I think the majority might plan to eat two slices BUT end up eating almost the equivalent of whole loaf…or close to the entire first basket of garlic breadsticks without even fully realizing…😮😂😊
This might be weird, but I haven't watched your videos in a long time, and I just want to say that I think you look so amazing and healthy now! 💖
You are correct Ilona, I did a quick calculation on the day of eating and it was around 2400 calories. 💚💚💚
Scale eyes 😉
I know when I did WW years ago, the zero point foods is supposed to be per serving... so one serving is zero points. Usually, if you eat more than one serving, depending on what it is, WW will start adding points to the food. So chickpeas are zero points for one serving, not the whole can. This is what Alex & others fail to realize & end up overeating.
How is she eating so much after gastric bypass!? She didn’t change her diet and stretched her stomach back out.
She doesn’t understand WW you don’t need to eat a million zero point foods. I did WW for a little and lost 1-2 pounds a week and I wasn’t morbidly obese. I’d just use zero point foods to bulk up a meal like I’d have rice meat and then tons of veggies for zero point. I wouldn’t eat all day long like her 😅
I think the novelty has her so excited and that is the problem. She needs to fix the core issue of her food obsession to finally change and maintain progress.
She needs to stay away from liquid calories. There is no reason she should have shakes or smoothies.
All of these gorls yap about the importance of protein in all their videos, yet from those videos aside (if they even do in those), they barely eat any actual protein. Always crap like protein chips and chocolates and whatnot, it's ludicrous.
I hardly ever hear these dieters talk about sugar content
Don’t worry about commenting on her baby, I would rather people don’t even if Alex shows him. He’s going to grow up and come across videos of people talking about how his mom didn’t care about him as a baby.
Yeah must be horrible 😔
I’ve never been on Weight Watchers, so I have no idea what the heck is up with these zero point foods.
Alexandra is a bariatric patient twice over, she should know better than anyone that despite these foods being zero points, they still have calories. The fact that she’s acting ignorant of that, either means that she’s ignoring it because she wants to eat, or that she’s stupid. I suppose she can be both at the same time as well, but wow. There’s no way that she actually believes that these food won’t make her gain weight if she eats a ton of them. I refuse to believe that.
Spot on!!! This is exactly it. She should know better because you have to see a nutritionist to have bypass surgery. She’s just so food addicted that she’s kidding herself. It’s gonna end up badly for her if she doesn’t get in check. This blood clot should have been a wake up call but it obviously wasn’t. She’s still trying to hack and cheat her way skinny and it isn’t gonna work.
Thanks for saving me from boredom 😂 I need this.
Omg, energy drinks are so bad. I used to drink them in moderation and I was diagnosed with atrial fibrillation but it's been a few years now and I don't need an Rx. My cardiologist scared me to death when he explained how dangerous they can be, especially when I was drinking coffee throughout the day. I have a weakness when it comes to coffee, cheese and 🍞 though I rarely eat bread now. 💚 I learned something new about chickpeas today.
Yes they are linked to heart problems and first!!! 🥇🥇🥇

I'm not good at writing because of a coma and stroke sorry. Take care. I'm mostly fine now and have great support. Keep being wonderful.
I just don't understand how she always sounds out of breath, just talking. I'm a big girl, and I will get like that if I'm doing something really active, but not just standing and talking. So weird.
I’ve definitely noticed this about the big girls, and she in particular tries to cover it with “sighing”. They’re too big and their bodies are literally struggling to breathe with the slightest exertion!
I think the main problem is: she is calling actual meals "snacks" and is fixated on 0 points ingredients - that way she is downplaying how many calories she is actually consuming. I wish her successful weight loss but she should not be surprised when her way of dieting proves ineffective... why not just calorie count since she is weighing food anyway? That is much more accurate and effective, and not really complicated with a proper app.
because she self admittedly does not want to experience hunger at any point that's her problem, that's why she chose weight watchers; when she inevitably acknowledges failure she can then blame the diet as "not working for me" while claiming she followed it as she was supposed to and put in an honest effort
tracking calories would obliterate that delusion and once again place the burden on her and she simply doesn't want to fix her addiction to food
I'm convinced people don't know what a snack is
There are two kinds of egg bites from Costco. You were looking at the egg white one with veggies. She was eating the kind with cheese and bacon and they are 250 calories of the pair. I can confirm it's quite easy to eat 4 of them. WW makes no sense to me. I get they want you to prioritize certain foods but the way they do it means a lot of people are eating *more* calories trying to keep their points low and snacking on free foods because they are so starved of fats. Lots of complaints of gaining weight in WW groups.
Points do relate to calories but with a twist, divide the total calories by 50 and divide the total fats by 12, add answers together to get points. Thus the classic BigMac with 559cal and 30g of fat equals 13.5 WW points. Personally, I'd rather just count calories and track protein.
In Australia Alani only has 110mg caffeine per 355ml can, but then on the Alani website (US) it is 200mg. There must be much stricter caffeine restrictions here. That’s crazy. Looking at the back of the US cans they don’t even list caffeine in the dietary breakdown, they just mention it on the front.
FDA recommends keeping caffiene intake under 1000mg. I dont know about other countries but thats just how it is in the US.
💚 I feel you,I felt aweful during pregnancy. By the end I was crying for it to be over. I have two healthy children and it was definitely worth it, but man was it hard.
I said to my boyfriend today I am surprised I am not depressed tbh. I feel like a shell of the person I used to be. Besides perma-anxiety about a newborn, I feel like a terrible partner and friend, can't stay on top of chores as much as I'd like and my poor dogs don't get the exercise they need some days 🥲
@@ChikaraTransformations the best advice I can give is to remind yourself this is a very temporary season! My pregnancies have progressively become more unpleasant. Postpartum is difficult, I’m a high sleep needs person and love being up and doing things, and it kills me that I have to let go of the house and all my normal routines. BUT, I remind myself that this is only a season. I know one day, my kiddos will sleep through the night and I will too. One day, I will be able to give the pets more attention. One day, I’ll be able to go out and have a night to myself again! All in all, the pay off and joy of adding another baby to the family far outweighs the unpleasant aspects of pregnancy and birth.
No way she’s eating only 1500-2000 calories when I a 188 pound male struggles to feel fully satiated on less than 2000 calories and she’s significantly bigger than me
Everyone is different. Your hormones are not the same as hers.
That relationship between points and calories is a bit baffling to me. Might have to investigate further out of plain mathematical curiosity. But the zero points food list we saw last time looked like one could eat a whole day's worth of calories without using up a single point, which seems wild!
I much prefer the straightforwardness of just tracking calories.
I'm thinking WW doesn't want you losing weight. No subscription no money for them.
She won't lose weight on this plan. Like you said, she's too fixated on food and "treats," and zero-point foods are an outrageous lie. She can and will eat thousands of extra calories a week if she's not measuring and counting oats, beans, potatoes, popcorn, even fruit like bananas. Truly depressing.
Doing carnivore for 8 years got rid of that food noise. Best thing I've done!
Thank you for covering this! I was waiting for this one lol
Good morning to Ilona and all of you beautiful Transformers! Coffee time!!!!☕️
One cup of chickpeas is about 750 calories. She’s insane.
One cup of dry chickpeas yes, but she used pre-cooked ones, that would be about 270-300 for a cup (varies depending on how big the chickpeas are and how many can fit, that’s why when on a diet it’s much better to weigh stuff out rather than using cups and such)
From a can, it's about 240 calories for a cup of chickpeas. She used wet chickpeas, not dry
Wouldn't the carbohydrates be coming from the starches and some of the other junk in the product. And furthermore everything in America has a shit ton of unnecessary junk and garbage in it especially something pre-made like this.. I saw something on RUclips recently and it was a thing on McDonald's french fries and they were comparing that in another country the McDonald's fries had three ingredients only but in the United States there was like 12 or 13 it was crazy. They trying to keep us fat and kill us over here. That's a fact keep us sick and fat that's the American way.
true!!!
Is it me or does it look like she is looking for a WW sponsorship
Based on her weight distribution, it wouldn’t surprise me if she has PCOS and one of things she should do to lose weight is to do a low carb - high protein diet.
She weighed close to 400 lbs but she is an expert at weight loss guys. Lol She will gain it all back again because she isn’t fixing the root problem. If you can’t heal your relationship with food, no amount of surgeries or diets are going to work, clearly.
Stuffing herself with ‘zero points’ lol. There is literally no such thing as zero point food. How stupid are people???
I was a kid who got fat af ON WHOLE PLANT FOODS. No fast food, no soda, no candy, no PROCESSED FOODS. Just ate way too much and servings that were way too big for years and it made me fat.
Why does Alex have such a fruit and vegetable phobia??? People need 35g of fiber per DAY. Colon cancer is the number one cancer killer for people under 50 and fiber is the best defense, plus not consuming carcinogenic foods like artificial sugars, red meats and foods sprayed with glyphosate 😢
She eats a lot of berries, bananas, and melons. I don't see her do tons of veggies, other than sweet potatoes, tho. Except she eats take out salads occasionally.
Woah… can of chickpeas, 78g of carbs, 0 points. Meanwhile 4 oz of pasta, 40g of carbs (ish), 11 points. Where’s the logic? 🥴
Also, I know skinnyTok can be super toxic but they absolutely cooked when they said “don’t reward yourself with food, you’re not a dog”. Ahhhh! Too real lol
The fat and wheat in pasta I guess
Loving your coverage on Alex!!! But also I’d probably watch anything you upload so there’s that too 😂❤
❤️❤️❤️
A portion of beans for me is 1 cup, a can has 2.5-3 cups. She should really measure it out. And she could easily do 1 cup beans seasoned, 1 cup brown rice, and load up on broccoli or steamed spinach (or just really any veg) she would legit be full for probably most of the day. Extra protein you can add baked chicken or tofu. Yes high in healthy carbs. but the fiber, protein, and volume of food keeps you full full.
One of the 13 year old girls at my son’s bus stop today had a can of AlaniNu with her when her mom dropped her off. I was shocked.
Those things are no joke. I can drink a pot of coffee and go to sleep (I don't actually do that, but I can), I tried an Alani once and I felt like I was having heart palpitations. It's like rocket fuel 😂 I don't think it's the caffeine that affected me, it's whatever other stimulants they put in there.
That's insane!! I'm very curious the rates of heart failure, chronic kidney disease, and HTN, in about 10 to 20 years. I am convinced they will find out these energy drinks will cause way more harm then we orignally thought.
thats the issue is we have kids with no boundaries and arent allowed to be kids anymore. They are growing up way to fast
In many eu countries, it's illegal to sell to under 16-18
I seen it at the gym so I knew what it was. If I drank it I'd probably have a panic attack drinking 200mg of caffeine plus have heart palpitations 😂
I swear these women all sound the same, you could mix and match recordings of them talking.
You guys are correct. You must be careful sharing your baby on the internet. It's a safety issue above all else.
💯💯💯
“I would be too, two egg bites do fuck all”-I swear I almost spit my coffee out laughing at this. I agree! Give me actual food, especially after the gym!!
The zero point food system is intended to work for someone who is overweight from general overeating or choosing unhealthy foods, not someone who has a food addiction. Most people would feel super full from eating an entire can of chickpeas as a snack. It's essentially a meal with a ton of fiber. The same for the other zero point foods which either have tons of fiber or protein to make you feel very full and not want to eat big portions of them. That along with normal meals would make the typical person very satisfied with eating less calories. But the person with food addiction doesn't get that signaling. They will eat until they're sick because it's a mental issue. Therefore weight watchers will never be successful for them, as they will continually eat over their calories.
Ooo girl onion powder is in my regular seasoning mix, I use it on so much. Signed, an American♥️
This issue with the zero-point foods plan is that it instills the false idea that those foods are the “healthy” foods that you can optionally fill up on during a day of eating “normal” processed point-laden food. In reality, these zero-point foods should be 75-100% of your diet!
I have never been on Weight Watchers but from what is said in this video WW is not for diabetics. It appears to be carb heavy. I also think Anna, Alexandra, Amber are diabetics. I know they haven't mentioned it but knowing their eating habits for years I believe they are.
Actually WW has a setting in the app for diabetics to use…………counts carb items higher due to the sugar or spikes.
@ Thank you. Obviously I have no idea how it works. Still think she is diabetic though.
@ you are welcome……there are a lot of things I don’t agree with about Weight Watchers……corn and potatoes and beans are all zero points…..🤷🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️
I really appreciate what you said in the intro about whatever way you want/need to lose weight I support it ❤ instantly subscribed 🥰
I use Premier Protein while in the US. I think they have the best macro breakdown and the taste is consistently great. They have an awesome protein pancake mix too
I think WW used to be 0 points for low carb fruits, non starch veg, and lean proteins. But they were not very successful at drawing in a younger crowd and they revamped it a few years ago and now everything is weird and 0 point foods do not make any sense.
This is kinda bonkers and honestly seems way harder than just putting info in a TDEE calculator and counting calories.
Potatoes as zero points is INSANE. They're satiating but dang I could eat hundreds of calories of potatoes if I thought they didn't count.
ww still gives recommended serving sizes for zero point foods. They don't encourage unlimited amounts
Weight watchers is so stupid 😅🤣 imagine going through all the work to learn a complicated system that counts points instead of learning how to count calories!! She already has to weigh her food to figure out the proper points…. Soooooo
Drinking from Mason jars is a cultural norm in the US. Not strange to those natives but rest of US might find it odd
The issue is a serving of a zero point food is zero points, like half a cup of fat free cottage cheese but if you eat 4 cups it absolutely has points. 500 calories of chickpeas is not zero points only a small serving would be. As a recovering food addict, was diagnosed 30 years ago and learned to control it years ago, zero points can absolutely mess you up because even having the correct servings you can have them several times a day.
I’ve been on and off WW for a while. I lost 60lbs when I did it the first time. Life.changing. I felt amazing, got a gym routine, self-esteem boosted, went from a 2X to a M/L. But then I spiraled and left it behind and now I’m back up to my highest weight. (Currently pregnant praise God so I’m back on WW but not following as well as I would be if not pregnant). If you have a food addiction you can easily abuse the system. Sometimes I catch myself eating an entire can of chickpeas (airfried are so good and crunchy) and then I realize how many calories and I freak. But it helps with staying fuller. Overall, I feel that WW works but you have to be realistic. While you don’t have to measure everything out for 0 points, I still do with things like beans and some fruits. Eggs, chicken breast, nonfat Greek yogurt- if I overate on that I’d feel miserable.
All this to say- the programs works if you actually use it as designed. If you try to cheat the system, you cheat yourself. But when you get off the program and you haven’t committed to learning about nutrition, you’re likely doomed to fail.
HI GUYS. Starting my weight loss journey tommorow on april 3. I have 94 kg and my goal is 64 kg until september. Im gonna do kcal deficit with whole foods (80/20), gym 2× a week and home bike 3 times a week for 20mins. Do yoi have any adding advice for me ? Im a mom of 2 kids under 6, but i can do this !!! 🩷 ill keep you updated.
Good luck! That’s an aggressive goal, please keep us updated. Most if us have been there, Ilona has a lot a good advice for fat loss.
You got this!
30 kg in 5 months is quite ambitious (I’d say a little too ambitious) but good luck regardless! I lost 33 kg with the starting weight of 102 kg in 10 months, and that’s with wls (I’m short) 🙂
Count calories dear, you can still overeat on healthy food 😁good luck, you got this 🫡
@@ChikaraTransformations for sure ! Thanks !! 🩷
If she ate more protein she wouldn’t get hungry between meals and snack. I almost never snack because I focus on high protein meals which keep me full up
Ilona .. just because you are stil not a parent that doesnt mean ure not able to judge someone elses parenting.
Maybe but I just feel weird doing it :/
Really? How many sweet treats does a grown a** woman need? I literally never in my life. Have said oh I deserve a sweet treat.
I’m a first time mom of a 4 month old and it’s definitely been challenging. But I know you’ll be a great mom, Ilona. (You already are) The care and concern you already take toward your baby is proof of that. You will do great ❤
Regarding WW, I think it’s weird that she’s approaching this diet like it’s good to “hack” the zero point system….like calories don’t exist.
Thank you ❤️
I use Promix protein powder unflavoured. Only grassfesd whey and sunflower lecithin to keep it from clumping. It is expensive but worth it.
